Aggies keep Idaho at bay...

USU Aggies won a tough game at Idaho 62-53, while their Bracket-buster match-up, St. Mary's, played No. 19 Gonzaga to the buzzer.

Idaho kept the game in question until about the 90 second mark.  Several offensive rebounds and foul shots helped the Aggies pull ahead at the end.

Utah State will have their hands full when they meet St. Mary's on Feb. 21st.  The game has been downplayed by some as a test for the Aggies when St. Mary's lost their star guard to a fractured hand. He's out for the season it seems, but St. Mary's proved against Gonzaga that they're not.

USU Aggie Sports:

Utah State University mens basketball continues to add checks in the win column. They beat a good Boise State team last night, Jan. 17th, by a mere 4 points to secure Stew Morril's record as the USU coach with the most wins - 226. Jaycee Carroll had a good game with 29 points and nearly broke USU's career scoring record falling just 2 points shy.

The Aggies move to 13-5 overall, and have improved dramatically from a slow start. In the WAC they're 3-0 and in first place.

So long and thanks for all the fish(bowl) memories...

With the demise of the Utah State University Merrill library, comes the end of over forty years of student experiences in the building. One such memory is of the "Fishbowl", a large communal study area located on the third floor of the library. Granted, very little study occured there...
